Welcome to Gansu Vocational College of Communications
Gansu Vocational College of Communications, formerly known as Gansu Provincial Communications School founded in 1956, is the only transportation-focused vocational college in Gansu Province. Over the years, the college has cultivated and dispatched tens of thousands of outstanding professionals for the economic development of the country and Gansu Province, earning it the title of the “Cradle of Transportation Professionals”. The college currently has over 14,000 full-time students, occupying an area of 1,197.162 acres with a building area of 341,660 square meters and a library collection of 721,380 books. It comprises 10 schools under Gansu Vocational College of Communications, offering 34 programs across fields such as highway and bridge engineering, intelligent and connected new energy vehicles, modern logistics, urban rail transit, aviation services, and smart transportation.
The college began recruiting international students from “Belt and Road” countries in 2017 and has the qualification to enroll students under the Gansu Province “Silk Road” Special Scholarship Program.
Enrollment Plan
Enrollment number:3-5 students from the countries along the “Belt and Road”.
Study period: 3 years for a diploma program, with 2 semesters per academic year. Spring Semester: March to July; Autumn Semester: September to December.
Who to apply
1. Non-Chinese citizens aged from 18 to 25, graduated from high school in good health, abide by Chinese laws and regulations and respect the customs and habits of the Chinese people.
2. High school or equivalent education; hold an HSK Level 3 certificate.
3. Interests in learning Chinese and some understanding of Chinese culture, society and economy; willing to learn technical skills in China.
4. Certain family economic capacity of supporting life and transportation costs other than scholarships.

3. How to apply
The HSK Level 3/4 certificate is needed. Scholarships are applied for by students themselves, recommended by their schools of college, reviewed and publicized by the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, and decided by the college. Scholarships are reviewed annually. Applicants should submit scholarship applications to the International Exchange and Cooperation Department by October each year.

What to submit
1. Application form for foreign students to study in GVCC.
Please log in the website (http://www.gsjtxy.edu.cn) to download the form, fill, print and scan it after signing.
2. Scanning copies of high school diploma and notarized materials (in Chinese and English).
3. High-school seniors must be issued the expected graduation certificate by their school, and have to submit the scanned copy of the high school graduation certificate and notarial document after being admitted.
4. Scanned copy of all course transcripts and notarization documents (in Chinese or English) in high school.
5. Applicants must provide HSK certificate and transcript scanned copy, and submit the original copy for review after admission.
6. 1 visa scanned copy and 1recent photo (white background, 35mm×45mm).
7. One scanned copy of recent (within 30 days) FOREIGNER PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM. After being admitted, the original copy must be submitted and re-examined in the local entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau of our school.
How to admit
After receiving applicants’ electronic materials, the college will pre-admit the applicants based on their nationality, high school grades and HSK scores. Formal admission notice will be issued to the qualified applicants on July 15th.
